Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use this site to find out what we do and to reach us. We build it to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We do not claim the site fully meets that standard on every page; this statement says what we have done, what we know is not finished, and how to tell us about a problem.

• Every page can be used with a keyboard alone. A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing the Tab key reaches.
• Every button and link shows a clear outline when it has keyboard focus. The call bar at the bottom of phone screens never covers the item that has focus.
• Pages use headings, landmarks and labels that screen readers can announce. Form fields have visible labels, and errors are written in text next to the field, not shown by color alone.
• Text and background colors are checked against the WCAG contrast minimums. Our orange is never used behind white text, because that pairing does not meet them.
• Text can be enlarged to 200% and the page can be zoomed to 400% without losing content or scrolling sideways.
• Photos that carry information have written descriptions. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• There are no autoplaying videos, no flashing content and no scroll-triggered animation. The site respects your device's reduced-motion setting.
• Photo comparison sliders, where they appear, work with the arrow, Page Up, Page Down, Home and End keys as well as touch and mouse.

The Accessibility button in the header and footer opens a settings panel. It lets you enlarge text to 125% or 150%, switch to high contrast, underline every link, and stop all motion. The settings are saved in your browser and apply to every page.

These settings are conveniences on top of the site itself. The site is built to work with your own browser and assistive technology without them.

• Automated checks with axe-core on every page, at phone and desktop widths, in default and high-contrast modes.
• A contrast check on every text and background color pair used on the site.
• Manual keyboard testing of navigation, the settings panel, the estimate form and the comparison sliders.
• Layout checks at widths from 320 to 1440 pixels, and with text enlarged to 200%.

• The site has not yet been reviewed by an outside accessibility auditor or tested by screen-reader users. We plan to do both.
• Photos of past jobs describe what is shown, but some fine details of a repair may be easier to explain by phone.
